SwapToMartech carries affiliate links. This page states exactly where the money comes from so you can read the rest of the site knowing what our incentives are.

Who we earn from

Our commercial relationships are with infrastructure providers, not with the software we rank. Specifically we may earn a commission when you sign up through our links to hosting providers such as DigitalOcean, Cloudways and Vultr, and from a small number of vendor links disclosed inline on the page that carries them.

Who we earn nothing from

The open-source projects we recommend most often pay us nothing. Neither do most of the commercial SaaS products we compare against. When a page recommends a paid tool we have no relationship with, we say so on that page. Several of our articles conclude that you should keep paying the incumbent vendor, which earns us nothing at all.

What the commission does not buy

• It does not buy ranking position. Scores come from the published cost and capability data in our repository, described on our methodology page.
• It does not change your price. Links pass through to the vendor's own published rate.
• It does not buy silence. Where a self-hosted option is genuinely worse, or where the maintenance burden outweighs the saving, that is the conclusion we publish.
• It does not buy removal of a rival. We name and link tools that pay us nothing when they are the better fit.

How paid links are marked

Affiliate links carry rel="sponsored nofollow" in the page markup and are called out in the surrounding text or in a disclosure note at the foot of the section. If you find a paid link on this site that is not disclosed, tell us at [email protected] and we will fix it.

Pricing figures

Prices quoted on this site are read from the vendors' own public pricing pages and data files, with the retrieval date shown on the page. Where a provider's pricing could not be retrieved we publish the gap rather than an estimate.
